So I run into this program the other day, called HealthyWage, and from the first glance it caught my eye. Something was telling me: keep reading. And as with many things we read on the internet, we tend to think: is it legit or scam?
So I decided to search it and give you a review about it so you can also make your own opinion and decide if it is something that could help you with your weight loss goals or not.
What Is HealthyWage?
HealthyWage is a company that was founded in the US in 2009 by David Roddenberry and Jimmy Fleming. It has been around for many years and it has received a lot of publicity over time as it was endorsed by AARP, New York Times, ABC, NBC etc.
It is a weight loss program which offers many challenges within their website. Their main program is HealthyWage, which, to put it in simple words, you can bet money on your own weight loss.
How Does HealthyWage work?
As I just said, you can bet money on your own weight loss. Yes you heard that right. You go to HealthyWage site. There, you can find a calculator where you can calculate how much weight you want to lose, in how many months, and how much you want to bet (willing to pay) each month. Then, the calculator based on what you wrote, tells you the amount of money you could win if you reach that goal.
So basically, within restrictions, you can create your own weight loss bet that you make with yourself. You must lose at least 10% of your body weight.
You can pay your bet all together at the beginning or in monthly installments. If you manage to lose the weight you bet on, you get all your money back plus profit. Pretty cool yes? There is no specific amount you win, it all depends on the information you put on the calculator.
Now you might be thinking some people might cheat in order to win. No, the company has a specific way to do verified video weightings at the start and end of the challenges, so that you cannot cheat. I guess they have their way of knowing if someone is cheating, so no need to try it.
What Do People Who Used The Program Have To Say?
I searched many people who already used the program, and, more or less, they say similar things. They said the company didn’t ask anything or contacted them during the weight loss process. But don’t take that as being a scam.
The company did not give them a specific diet or exercise program that they needed to follow. It was up to each person how they wanted to lose that weight.
But the main question each participant had after reaching their goal was: ‘Will they pay me?’. All of them were wondering if they would really get the money they were promised, and most of them were thinking that the company would find excuses in order not to pay them. But in everybody’s surprise, they all received their money, either through the mail or PayPal (not sure if they pay in other ways too).
So if you search through the internet on HealthyWage, you will find lots of smiling faces for two reasons: 1 they lost their weight and look and feel awesome, and 2 they have extra money in their pocket.
Use HealthyWage To Lose Weight VS Doing It On Your Own…
Now you could say, why risk loosing my money in case I cannot reach the goal I set in the company, and not try to lose weight on my own? Yes you are right, there is a big risk you will lose the bet because we all know that we are not so consistent in our diets. You will eventually indulge in that heavenly chocolate cake, the fried potatoes and huge burger, cookies or whatever else comes in your way. If it was easy to lose weight then everyone would be thin right?
So again, another thing that all the people who used the program had in common, they said that the fear of loosing their money kept them within their diet program. They knew they had a timeline, otherwise they would lose their money. And of course nobody wanted to lose their money. The opposite, they wanted to gain more money than they spend, which is the purpose of the program anyway.
So all of them said that there were times they wanted to quit, but the fear of loosing their money stopped them from quitting. So at the end of their journey, looking back at what they have accomplished, said that if it wasn’t for that bet, they probably could not have lost the weight they lost.
Would I Recommend HealthyWage Or Not?
Yes of course. All the evidence I have in front of me say it is a legit company, and it pays what it promises. There wasn’t a single review with negative comments.
Yes you do have the risk of loosing your money, but on the other hand, the fear of loosing your money is a great motivation to stay on your weight loss plan.
And at the end, if you manage to win your bet, you will be one happy individual with less weight and more money in your pocket!
