About Georgia – Founder

Hey.

My name is Georgia, founder of this site about exercise for overweight people at home. My degrees are around Physical Education and Dance, and I have been a fitness lover since I was a kid.

A Little About My Story

Ever since I was a kid, I loved exercising. At around 8 years old, I joined a dance school, where I initially learned to dance. I even went to various events as a dance group where we entertained people, even on TV sometimes. Later, around 14 years old, I joined a gym, where I fell in love with the profession, and ever since, you will always find me at a gym, either exercising or teaching fitness classes.

How Is My Background Relevant To My Site

Although I was always fit and strong through exercise, the truth is I was never a skinny person. I always had a few extra pounds. And to be honest, after my two pregnancies, I was left with a few more pounds, that no matter how hard I exercised never went off, since I am not a big fan of strict diets. Despite this fact though, I never gave up on exercise, which has always kept me strong and healthy, even with the extra weight.

So I want to pass the message to all of you who have some (or a lot of) extra weight, that adding exercise to your daily routine WILL keep you stay healthy and strong, no matter what the extra weight is.

I know a lot of people misbelieve that having extra pounds makes them unworthy of exercising. So instead, what they do, they focus on various diseases that can be associated with their extra weight, and believe they are powerless to do anything about it. I know that for some people is a big struggle to even get up from their bed or a chair. Even worse, I have seen people who fell down and could not get up on their own.

THE GOAL OF MY SITE

Through this site, I want to do a lot more than just give you tips and exercises that you can do at home. I want to pass a strong message to all, that having extra pounds is NOT a disease, and you are NOT powerless just because you have extra weight. Also, the age does NOT matter. At any weight, at any age (even 100 years old), there is some sort of exercise that is right for you, and can help you stay healthy and strong. Even if I can help you get stronger to be able to do simple jobs at home like lifting every day weights (groceries, kids etc), for me is a big victory.

So this is my story in a few words. I hope you enjoy the experience of my site and you find a lot of useful information. I want you not only to be able to use the information you find here, but also to build a strong mindset, that everything you want to achieve, YOU CAN.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, or even want to share your story, I would love to hear from you. Feel free to leave them below, or send me an e-mail to contact@overweight-exerciseathome.com and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

Georgia
